RiffBox Firmware Version 4.2 Update:
Press the left control knob while turning on the power. If the display shows '1, 2, 3, 3.1 or 4.1', you may want to upgrade to firmware version 4.2 using the files below. This upgrade proceedure has been proven using using the free FX-Tracker software shown above, or MIDI-OX which is a free program for personal use. We cannot guarantee upgrading using other programs.
Fixes in this version:
1) All fixes in firmware versions 2, 3, 3.1 and 4.1.
2) When loop recording starts with the first note that you play, false triggering could happen with string noises etc. This update makes RiffBox less sensitive to string noises as you increase the threshold value.
3) When RiffBox is determining the loop length based on a repeated rhythm or note pattern, the loop playback now matches your playing much more closely.

FX-Tracker Firmware Version 2.1 Update:
Press the left control knob while turning on the power. If the display shows '10', 1.1, '1.2' or 2.0, you may want to upgrade to firmware version 2.1 using the files below. This upgrade proceedure has been proven using using the free FX-Tracker software shown above, or MIDI-OX which is a free program for personal use. We cannot guarantee upgrading using other programs.
Fixes in this version:
1) All the changes up through version 2.0
2) There was a math error in the DSP code that has been fixed. The symptoms of this error included:
A. Multiple delays with feedback did not completely fade away. There was a very small amount of sound remaining in some cases.
B. For various effects, it caused a very small amount of zero-crossing distortion.
3) Effect number 65 was improved so that it reacts better to your playing volume changes
